MTCC in the Community: Part 3

At More Than Conquerors College, our mission comes to life when students use their talents, skills, and passions to serve others, enrich their communities, and make a meaningful impact. Being active in the community is at the heart of who we are, and our students continually demonstrate that learning is meant to be applied.

This month, we are proud to spotlight Jamia McClure, whose commitment to faith, arts, culture, and community engagement exemplifies the spirit of MTCC.

Through her involvement in faith leadership, performing arts, and cultural engagement, Jamia uses her gifts to create meaningful connections and enrich the lives of those around her. As a Praise and Worship Leader at Centrifuge Church, she helps foster a sense of community and encouragement through music and service. Her leadership reflects a dedication to supporting and uplifting others while sharing her passion and talent.

Jamia is also an active contributor to Charlotte's vibrant arts community. As a performer, storyteller, and creative voice, she has shared original works that invite audiences to reflect, connect, and engage with important themes through artistic expression. Her presentation of Where Are You, Mia? at the Harvey B. Gantt Museum's Block Party exemplifies how the arts can inspire dialogue and bring communities together.

In addition, Jamia has participated in cultural celebrations that honor history, heritage, and community. Her involvement in a Juneteenth performance with Epoch Tribe highlights her commitment to preserving and sharing stories that educate, inspire, and celebrate the richness of diverse experiences.

Whether leading worship, performing on stage, or participating in community-centered cultural events, Jamia embodies the heart of the More Than Conquerors College mission. She demonstrates that learning is not confined to a classroom but is expressed through service, leadership, creativity, and engagement with others.
